The Texas Certification Board of Addiction Professionals will be conducting training for NEW LCDC Oral Examination Evaluators

Oral exam evaluators are called on to help the TCBAP conduct and score LCDC oral exams.

This is a great opportunity to provide a valuable contribution to the counseling profession.  Examination evaluators have a unique opportunity to network with other counselors and keep abreast of the latest developments in the field.  Evaluator trainees receive eight (8) continuing education hours for the initial class in addition to receiving additional hours for participation at test cycles.

To be eligible for this training, individuals must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Certified (current and in good standing) as an Alcohol Drug Counselor (ADC) or Advanced Addiction Counselor (AAC) through the Texas Certification Board of Addiction Professionals, or willing to become certified as and ADC or AAC; and,

  • Licensed (current and in good standing) as a Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) through the Texas Department of State Health Services.

In addition, evaluator trainees will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement and a commitment to serve a minimum number of test cycles.  There is no charge for the training.  Trainees will be responsible for their own travel and expenses.
